A trip of night expedition & Tung-Hai night market

October 11, my club's (Chunghua 彰友會) members and I went to the 望高寮 and Tung-Hai night market. I remember it was a cold night, my partner and I rode my motorcycle to 望高寮 at first.

When we arrived at 望高寮, all the juniors are excited. No wonder they were so excited, the scenes there are too beautiful to be true. All the light and cars mixed into a wide light-sea. In front of us is Taichung city, and the back of us is Changhua city. Everybody takes pictures with each other, and I think this experience will be a forever memory of those junior schoolmates. Although there was really cold, but we all had a wonderful time there.

Then, we arrived the Tung-Hai night market. It was the second times being there. The Steamed sandwich there is so nice. It contains beef, Sour Mustard Greens and peanut powder. And there is a store sells papaya milk; their papaya milk is also my favorite. My friends and I enjoy our food there, and really happy about that night’s trip.

The new arrivals greeting camping of AFL

October 20 & October 21 were the new arrivals greeting camping of AFL. We had prepared it for months, and we all hoped that this camping will have a happy ending. Although we faced so many difficulties when we prepared this activity, finally we solved all of these problems one by one.

And new arrivals greeting camping came, actually I think it is better then I was expected. Everything is under our control and nothing bad happened. The small games are so success that every one can play happily. Although it’s really tired, at that night we worked until 2 o’clock AM. But it seemed that all of the camping members were happy about this camping. And I think this is the greatest reward for us.

Although there were so many argues and unhappiness when we plan the camping, but all the end good is good, the new arrivals greeting camping is so success. Maybe the process of working is so hard and difficult, but if we try our best, we still can do it well.

The president cup basketball contest, CSMU

At October 24, this day was the president cup basketball contest, CSMU. We have trained our freshman teammates for weeks, so this day was us to check our training result.

We were arranged to compete with the school of optometry. All of us desired to win the game, and there were also many people coming to court to encourage us. Although our team members are less than the school of optometry, but our morale would never less than our competitor. Soon, the game started. Everyone tried his best to win the game, and the cheer squads also encourage us. But we still lost. Although some people were too less experience to play the game, but they also wanted to help our team to win the game. Thanks for everyone that at October 24 came to sport court to encourage us.

Although we lost this game, this means that we didn’t train enough. We will still try our best to win the next game no matter who is our competitor.

The tug of war contest

Because of our college birthday is around the corner, so many contests are held. At October 30, we were arranged to compete with the school of medicine. But at the time to begin, they didn’t come to the court, so the umpire judged that because of the school of medicine waived their rights, so we won the game. And the second game was at the October 31.

And at October 31, we were arranged to compete with the school of occupational therapy. We were all in excitation, and ready to fight to our enemy. First, the ladies of our apartment came to the court to match. But they lost. And then, it’s time for us to fight. Although the competitor’s people are more than us, but we never give up. At the end, we lost our game, but we felt no regret.

I think the tug of war’s meaning is not who win the game, but the process that we are hang together and try to win the game. Although the result of the game is also important, but there is a winner, there is a loser. So, we had tried our best to win the game, we are still the best.

A casual meeting to a stranger

At October 29, when I waited my train to go home and studied Japanese, I met an unusual stranger. It was about eight o’clock at night, I knew that there was a stranger sitting near by me, but I saw her as a common stranger.

Not long after her sat down, she suddenly talked to me. She asked that whether I am a student or not. I said yes and asked what her job is. But she wants me to guess. So, I started to think what will her do. I saw her worn so well with a kit of suit. So I guessed that she probably is an insurance agent. She was surprised that I knew her job, and then we started talking. And in our talking, I knew that she is 25 years, graduated from Fu-Jen University Japanese Department. She likes to play badminton at weekend. We seldom talked about insurance business and something like that. She definitely is an insurance agent, I feel so comfortable when I talked to her, and even we just knew each other about 30 minute.

A stranger who has the same destination with me, a stranger who can talks to me just like good friend, a stranger who can makes me feel comfortable even most of her job is talking. I am very happy about this experience and also happy to meet her that night. Hope there is more casual meeting to strangers.

The Homework from G-Mail

I think using computer-mediated communication is very convenient to everyone. It provides me a free internet space that I can do my homework. And my teacher and my classmates can see my articles, if I make some mistakes, they can tell me where I did wrong. So, using computer-mediated communication is a good way on teaching, even on our daily life.

I think this story is telling about how to get along to other people. Some people are used to rely on the other people. They regard that they are not strong enough to live alone. So, they usually seek somebody to protect them. But maybe they will meet lots of people who seemed to be fit them, but actually, they are not. This story uses some simple painting to display the whole meaning.

Maybe sometimes we are very meek, and want to rely on other people. It’s our nature humanity. But when we are get used to rely on other people, we will forget what the dependence is. We should learn to do something by ourselves. We can be the person that can be relied on, not to rely on other people. If will always what to seek for help when we meet some problem, we won’t get the lesson we should learn. By doing so, we will find that we are stronger than that we know about ourselves. The more things we do by ourselves, the better experiences we will get.

~~Teachers just don't understand~~

“Teachers just don't understand” is a story about a woman, who is a teacher, tired for everything. The story begins in a morning. It’s was 5:30 A.M. It’s time to Mrs. Johnson to get up. But owing to she had taking care for her daughter almost all night, she felt too tired to not getting up. But she must get up and go to work. While she had her breakfast, her husband, Mr. Johnson, who worked the night shift at the factory. They discussed for some things and they were all worried about for their daughter, Lu Ann, and Lu Ann's operation. After talked to her husband, she went out to work. After she arrived at the school, she met some things makes her even tired and impatient. And when she asked a student, Ronnie Taylor, to hand out her homework, she said she didn’t do the homework and made some excuses for that. Then Mrs. Johnson was so angry that she told Ronnie to meet the vice-principal. But When Ronnie met Frank and Frank asked what the things going, Ronnie just don’t understand why Mrs. Johnson so angry, and said that teachers sure don't understand.

I like the middle part of the story. Mrs. Johnson said to Mr. Johnson that she didn’t do everything by herself, she just miss her husband. It’s seemed to be that these words net have many meanings, but it’s not true. People do know that if a man is lonely, he won’t feel happy; but if there are someone stays with him, he may feel better. Mrs. Johnson just wants someone can help her to take part in her stress.

This is a funny story says that the teacher sometimes just can’t accept student’s excuses for something; but on the other hand, students sometimes also can’t accept teacher’s response. They have to use more time to know each other to make the life between them more harmony and peace.

Tom’s Diner ----By Suzanne Vega

One day, Suzanne was sitting in a diner on the corner. Suzanne ordered a cup of coffee, and was waiting for her coffee. Then, a woman came inside the diner, she shacked her umbrella, and the waiter said welcome again. And then, Suzanne purred out the milk into her coffee in order to pretend not to see the water and the woman was kissing. Then, she read her newspaper. In the report on the newspaper, there was a young kid who was an actor, had died. Then, she turned to see the horoscope. She thought it is funny and later she felt that there was some one looking at her. There was a woman outside the diner, she was looking for her reflection. And then, she noticed that woman was straightening her stockings, waiting the train. Then, she heard the bells from the church. She also heard the rain began from yesterday midnight. At the end, she finished her coffee, then caught her train.

~~My favorite song~~

My favorite song is "My Happy Ending". This song sings by Avril Lavigne and it is collected in her album "Under My Skin". This song is different from other rock music. It contains a love story in it, and this make it to be a special rock-and-roll.

When I heard this song first time, I was attracted by the song deeply. I was watching the "MTV" channel, and after a short time, I saw the song My Happy Ending's MV. It is awlsome that i have a very good impressions. The song tells about a young lady and her boyfriend. In the song, the young lady was very disappointed by his boyfriend. Because he didn't love her wholeheartedly, he just want to philander her love, he just want to have her body. After he did so many harmful things to her, she realized that it's time to leave him.

So, "My Happy Ending" is my favorite song, and if one day you hear the song, I guess you might like this song as me.

My Resumé

I, Hsin-Fu Chen , come from in Changhua County. It is a place most people are considered conservative. I have a family of five members. My father is a self-disciplined and conscientious businessman. My mother is a householder and loves traveling. Both of them care about the children’s education very much. My eldest sister majors in English in two-year college. As for my second elder sister, she is studying in the state of West Virginia of the United States.

My study plan

Near Future：

In my studies, I will strengthen my English abilities at the first and second years, besides required courses, I will broaden my horizons by making a good use of school resources. Such are the books in the library and using Internet. In addition, I also want to learn self-management, enjoy the freedom of a university student. Train myself to live an independent life, and use odd times to preview and review my studies. Of course, I won’t ignore the other information I need to know. I’m no exception. I will spend holidays participating in outdoor activities to enjoy the nature, and the service clubs to get more experience.

Long Term：

1.To Obtain further knowledge：At the last two years, I will focus on English and France. It is my interest to study language. It will be helpful to my future career. I will put emphasis on speaking, writing and reading.

2.A plan for my career: After devoting myself to learning my favorite subject, I will understand myself well, and then make a plan for further studies, the profession and the life. I hope I will succeed in my fiekd to come up to my parent’s expectation
